Labour day weekend of 2008, DH and I began planning our January vacation. Since the weather in Alberta at that time of the year is usually cold we wanted a warm destination. I have always wanted to cruise and so we put those 2 ideas together and decided on a cruise to South America. After mulling over about 20 different cruises we decided on a 14 day cruise on the Celebrity Infinity.We would fly out of Edmonton Dec 31, 2008 and arrive in Buenos Aires, Argentina on January 1st, 2009. What a way to start the New Year. The plan was to spend from January 1st until the 4th sightseeing in BA and then board the ship for the 14 day cruise to Uruguay, Argentina, and Chile. January 18th to 21st we would spend in Santiago, Chile.
